No. 29 KAUSHIK REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 5468 of 2022 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Joypur Police Station Case No. 140 of 2022 dated 23.09.2022 under Sections 188/379/411/414 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 read with Section 21 (i)(4) of the Mines and Minerals (R & D) Act, 1957.

And In Re : Satyakinkar Kumar ...... petitioner Mr. Pawan Kumar Gupta Mr. Sougata Mitra Ms. Sofia Nesar Mr. Santanu Sett Ms. Ankita Dey ....for the petitioner Mr. Neguive Ahmed Ms. Jonaki Saha ....for the State The petitioner is the owner of the vehicle, which was seized with illegally mined minerals.

In view of the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as appearing from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 5468 of 2022 is dismissed.
