Six witnesses have been examined after the order dated 30.01.2026 has been passed by this Court.

Report of the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bidhannagar Division reflects that they intend to examine 25 more witnesses.

The evidence of another 12 witnesses be completed by 1st of May, 2026.

Petitioner would be at liberty to approach this Court for renewing his prayer for bail after the said period is over. It is reiterated in the meantime at least 12 more witnesses be examined by the State.

Having regard to the gravity of the offence, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail, although, I have been

reminded by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner that more than five years have been passed.

Regard being had to the observations made above CRM (M) 2346 of 2025 is dismissed at this stage.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner for renewing his prayer for bail after the period stated above is over.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
