The petitioners claim to be the lessee in respect of the premises No.B/5/H/6/1, Bhukailash Road, Ward No. 78, P.S. Ekbalpore, Kolkata-700023. The said property was declared as thika property by the order of the Deputy Controller, Kolkata Thika Tenancy on 19th December, 2017.

The petitioners pray for incorporating their names in the records maintained by the Thika Controller as well as by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

As it appears from the records that the name of the thika tenant is already recorded in respect of the said premises, accordingly there is no requirement for passing any further direction for incorporating the names of the lessee in respect of the said premises.

In the event the petitioners are aggrieved by the order passed by the Deputy Controller, Kolkata Thika Tenancy they may approach the appropriate forum for necessary relief.

In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioners. The instant writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
