Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that only 23.943 kgs of ganja were recovered by the Customs Authority and consequent to which the petitioner was arrested and is in custody for a period of seven months.

Mr. Majumder, learned DSGI, appears on behalf of the Union of India/Customs Authority.

I have taken into account the facts of the case wherein contraband was imported into India from a foreign country. Having considered the gravity of the offence, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

Accordingly, CRM(NDPS)1493 of 2025 is dismissed. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly

downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
