The petitioner is aggrieved by the action of the respondent authority whereby they have changed the electricity connection in the name of Debdas Chatterjee, the deceased husband of the petitioner, to one Paritosh Ranjan Dey without any intimation. It is the case of the petitioner that the property in question was bequeathed to her by deceased Badal Chandra Basak and the probate of the said will was granted in her favour, being the sole beneficiary. During the lifetime of Badal Chandra Basak the petitioner was staying in the said house with her husband. The Respondent authority granted electricity connection in the name of her deceased husband Debdas Chatterjeee with consumer no. 250277. However, all of a sudden the name on the electricity connection changed from Debdas Chatterjee to Paritosh Ranjan Dey. The petitioner approached the respondent several times and

submitted a representation dated 16.08.2024, however, neither any response was received nor the name was corrected. Being aggrieved by the same petitioner has preferred the present writ petition.

Learned counsel for the respondent states that the respondent authority shall decide the pending representation of the petitioner after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of this order and shall communicate the final order thereafter within a period of three days.

Needless to state, if aggrieved, the petitioner shall be at liberty to challenge the same in accordance with law. 4.

With the above direction the present writ petition is disposed of.
