1. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be kept on record.

2. The petitioner has filed the present application praying for a direction upon the respondent nos.1 and 2 to rectify the date of birth in the Aadhaar Card of the petitioner. The petitioner submits that initially the authorities have issued the Aadhaar Card of the petitioner being No.9477 5391 6734 but in the said Aadhaar Card, the name of the father of the petitioner was not correct.

3. The petitioner has made an application for correction of the name of the father in the Aadhaar Card. The authorities have corrected the name of the father of the petitioner in the Aadhaar, but at the time of the

correction of the name of the father, the date of birth of the petitioner in the Aadhaar Card was changed from 1984 to 1988.

The petitioner has made an application before the authority for correction of the year of the birth in the Aadhaar Card but in spite of the request of the petitioner, the authorities did not correct the year of the birth of the petitioner and as such the petitioner has filed the present writ application.

In support of his contention, that the date of birth of the petitioner is 04-08-1984 and not 04-08-1988 has filed supplementary affidavit disclosing the earlier copy of the Aadhaar Card wherein the date of birth of the petitioner is recorded as 1984. The petitioner has also disclosed the pass-port as well as birth certificate of the petitioner wherein the date of birth is recorded as 04-08-1984.

6. Considering the above, this Court finds that no purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending.

7. Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no.2 to consider the request of the petitioner for change of the year of birth in the Aadhaar Card as 04-08-1984 instead of 04-08-1988 within a period of 3 weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

8. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.3 submits that the respondent no.3 is not a necessary party in the matter and the name of the respondent no.3 be deleted.

9. This Court has disposed of the writ application thus it is not necessary to delete the name of the respondent no.3.
