The petitioner, claiming to be the wife of the respondent no.7, has applied for maintenance before the jurisdictional Magistrate under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. In the said proceeding, the petitioner intends to prove the actual income of the respondent no.7 and for the said purpose has applied before the State Public Information Officer that is the District Inspector of Schools (PE), Purba Bardhaman, the respondent no.5 herein under the provision of Right to Information Act, 2005.

The respondent no.5, in response to her such application, has replied. The petitioner is alleging that the entire information is erroneous.

It appears that the information so supplied is addressed to one Jyotsna Nandi and it is with regard to the objection raised by the DPPG in respect of a pension case; therefore, it is apparent that wrong information was supplied to the petitioner. The respondent no.5 is directed to supply the correct information to the petitioner.

WPA 26386 of 2024 is disposed of with the above terms and observations without any order as to costs. Parties to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties, subject to compliance of all requisite formalities.
