Petitioner submits there is no direct evidence connecting her with the murder. Trial is progressing at a slow pace. She prays for bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer. He contends petitioner had illicit relationship with co-accused. Petitioner made extra judicial confession and her son has implicated her in the murder. On her leading statement weapon of offence was recovered.

We have considered the materials on record. There are ample materials connecting the petitioner with the crime. Vulnerable witness i.e. her son is yet to be examined.

Under such circumstances, we do not consider it prudent to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

Trial Court is request to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. (Gaurang Kanth, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
