Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year 5 months and there has been no progress in the case.

Learned advocate appearing for the de facto complainant is present and opposes the prayer for bail. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and produces the case diary. It has been submitted that out of 17 witnesses proposed to be examined by the prosecution, only 3 witnesses have been examined.

I have checked the list of witnesses proposed to be examined. I find that eight witnesses are vulnerable in the

present case.

Considering the same, let five other independent/related witnesses be examined by 15.04.2026. Having regard to the observations made above, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. Petitioner would be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail after the aforesaid period is over.

Case diary be returned to learned advocate appearing for the State.

The application for bail, being CRM (M) 2359 of 2025, is, thus, dismissed.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
