The grievance of the petitioner is directed towards refusal of the respondent authorities to provide a new electricity connection with a separate meter in the name of the petitioner at Shop No. 508, 5th Floor, 48 Ezra Street, Kolkata - 700001.
The matter had been pending with the Ombudsman and by an order dated 9th August, 2017 the Ombudsman had disposed of the representation made before him. Subsequently, the respondent Corporation had demanded an affidavit from the petitioner in order to provide the electricity connection.
It is submitted on behalf of the respondent Corporation that they are not demanding an affidavit from the petitioner in order to provide a new connection. In view of the submissions made on behalf of the respondent Corporation, nothing survives in this petition.
Accordingly, WPA 27084 of 2017 stands disposed of. The parties are directed to implement the final order of Ombudsman dated 9th August, 2017.
