Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner had lodged an FIR against the accused respondents under Sections 420/120B/506/323 of the Indian Penal Code in February, 2023. Till date, no charge-sheet could not be submitted. In fact, hardly any investigation has been done. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the report and submits that for sometime the Investigating Officer concerned was sick. Earlier, there was a change in the Investigating Officer. However, a notice under Section 91 of the Code has been sent to the petitioner on 15.01.2024. Reply is awaited.

It does not appear that the Investigating agency has done much in investigating the alleged offences.

Let the investigation be conducted under the supervision of the jurisdictional Deputy Commissioner of Police.

Let the investigation be concluded expeditiously in accordance with law.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
