In the opinion of the Court, nothing survives to be decided in the writ petition as the District Panchayat Election Officer, Purba Medinipur has already passed a reasoned order turning down the objection of the petitioner with regard to the allotment of seats in the ensuing panchayat election.

The reasoned order has given rise to a fresh cause of action.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of without any orders, but by granting liberty to the petitioner to challenge the order passed by the District Panchayat Election Officer, in accordance with law.

This Court has not gone into the merits of the allegations made in the writ petition However, there will be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
