Both the writ petitions are taken up for consideration today when a report dated 19th March, 2025 of Commissioner of School Education, West Bengal is placed before this Court and same is taken on record.

On perusal of the report dated 19th March, 2025 it appears that concerned State authorities have disclosed three posts of Headmaster lying vacant in three different schools and names of those schools are disclosed in the report.

It is further stated in the report that petitioner can be transferred following the procedure in terms of

Section 10C of the West Bengal School Service Commission Act, 1997.

The learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that he is willing to join the post of Headmaster on transfer in Chhota Jagulia High School (H.S.), North 24 Parganas.

In consideration of such submission made on behalf of the petitioner and the report of the Commissioner of School Education, West Bengal dated 19th March, 2025 both the writ petitions are disposed of directing the Secretary, West Bengal Central School Service Commission to recommend the petitioner for transfer from his present school to Chhota Jagulia High School (H.S.), North 24 Parganas by fortnight from the date of communication of this order. After issuance of the recommendation in favour of the petitioner consequential steps shall be taken by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education as well as Chhota Jagulia High School (H.S.), North 24 Parganas within a period of four weeks thereafter for joining of the petitioner in the transferred post. There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned Advocates for the parties on the usual undertakings.
