1. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today by the Counsel for the petitioner be taken on record.

2. The petitioner had applied for compassionate employment on account of retirement on medical ground due to incapacitation of her father, Rabin Sil. The father was an award staff in the Respondent Bank.

3. The application was rejected in April, 2019 by the Bank on the ground that the petitioner's father had crossed the age of 55 years at the time when he retired on medical ground.

4. The writ petition was filed in the year 2023 after the petitioner's father died in November, 2019.

5. It is now well-settled that compassionate employment even under the Rules of an organization is not a matter of right and is aimed at providing immediate succour to tide over the financial crises that

the family of an employee may face due to the death of the employee.

6. In the instant case it is seen that the rejection of the petitioner's claim was in terms of the Rules of the Central Bank of India. The delay of four years thereafter in approaching the Court has further diluted the petitioner's case.

7. In the backdrop of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in this writ petition.

8. W.P.A. No. 25248 of 2023 is disposed of without any orders.

9. There will be no order as to costs.
