The petitioner participated in the Teacher Eligibility Test, 2022 (TET 2022). The petitioner, in his personal details failed to upload that he is a para-teacher, such information, due to technical glitch, could not be uploaded even after availing the 'edit' option provided by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education. The petitioner is now praying opportunity to upload his said qualification.

Mr. Biswas, learned counsel for the Board submits that such failure of the petitioner would not affect his right to be considered against 10% of the posts reserved for in-service candidates and/or to avail other benefits under the relevant Rules for such candidates.

Paragraph 5 of the instruction received by Mr. Biswas from his client, runs as follows :-

"At the time of on-line application for recruitment invited by the Board in future, he will be able to insert his category as Para OBC-B, and he will also get the benefit of 10% reservation of seats, as applicable, in terms of recruitment rules, in respect of primary para teachers and age relaxation upto 50 years."

The apprehension of the petitioner has been sufficiently quelled as it appears from the aforesaid stand of the Board.

W.P.A. 26049 of 2022 is, therefore disposed of with the above observation without any order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
