The instant writ petition is directed against the concerned respondent authority for necessary direction. It appears to me that the respondent authority vide order dated 8th February, 2024 has come to an opinion that the payment of gratuity in favour of the petitioner may pass in pursuance to furnishing cogent and collateral document. It is the case of the petitioner that he approached the concerned authority through a written representation dated 19th August, 2024 but the respondent authority has not acted over such representation.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the State and the answering respondent.

Considering the entire situation the concerned authority is directed to pass a reasoned order in respect

of the representation of the petitioner dated 19th August, 2024 being Annexure P/7 of the instant writ petition. The respondent authority is further directed to pass the reasoned order after giving appropriate opportunity of being heard to the petitioner. Learned concerned authority shall pass the reasoned decision on the basis of the documents so furnished by the petitioner according to law. The reasoned decision so arrived at by the respondent authority shall be furnished to the petitioner within a fortnight after taking such decision. The respondent authority is further directed to take the reasoned order within six weeks from date of passing of this order.

As no affidavit are exchanged, the allegations made in the writ petition shall be deemed to have been not admitted.

Under the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
