Heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties.

Records reveal that the original application, being O. A. 1133 of 2021 (LRTT) first appeared before the learned tribunal on 26th April, 2021. An interim order was passed on 14th September, 2021. The matter thereafter appeared for hearing on 4th May, 2022 and as no one appeared on behalf of the private respondent, the hearing was deferred to 5th December, 2022, on which date the matter could not be heard as the learned Administrative member was on leave. The next date was fixed on 11th April, 2023 but as the Government representative did not produce the LCR the matter was again adjourned and fixed for hearing on 12th February, 2024.

We do not find any infirmity in the orders passed by the learned tribunal, however, as the application is pending

since the year 2021, the present writ petition has been preferred praying for a direction towards expeditious disposal of the original application.

In the said conspectus and as the matter is pending since 2021, it is expected that the learned tribunal would finally dispose of the original application, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from date, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

The writ petition being WPLRT 119 of 2023 is, accordingly, disposed of.

There shall, however, no order as to costs.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied as expeditiously as possible.
