1. Affidavit of service filed by the petitioners is taken on record.

2. The matter relates to the issuance of Forest License.

3. It appears that a notice was issued by the Divisional Forest Officer, Kharagpur Division on 22nd November, 2022 directing the petitioner to appear for a hearing on 28th November, 2022 along with certain documents mentioned in the said notice.

4. The petitioner claims that the petitioner remained present in the hearing along with all documents as sought for, but till date the fate of the hearing has not been made known to the petitioner.

5. Learned counsel representing the State respondents is unable to enlighten the Court as regards the fate of the hearing conducted on 28th November, 2022.

6. In view of the above, the instant writ petition stands disposed of directing the Divisional Forest Officer, Kharagpur, the respondent no. 5 herein, to intimate the petitioner, the fate of the hearing taken on 28th November, 2022 at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. If further hearing is required to be taken, then the same may be taken by the authority and order shall positively be passed within eight weeks.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
