And In Re : Amiya Barman .... petitioner Mr. Shibaji Kumar Das ....for the petitioner Mr. Antarikhya Basu Ms. Debjani Sahu ... for the State 1.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits there was matrimonial discord and a criminal case was pending between him and the deceased wife. He has been falsely implicated out of suspicion. Accordingly, he prays for bail. 2.

Learned Counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record.

Statements of witnesses show petitioner was seen running away from the place of occurrence. A knife was seized on his leading statement. In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and gravity of the offence we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
