Mr. Navanil De, Mr. Rajeshwar Chakraborty, Mr. Srinjan Ghosh, Mr. Subhrajit Dey, Ms. Monani Mukherjee ....for the Petitioner Mrs. Anasuya Sinha, Ms. Sayanti Santra ....for the State The statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure implicates the petitioner in the incident of demanding ransom as well as kidnapping the defacto complainant. Statement of the defacto complainant recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure stands corroborated by the statement of the driver whose vehicle was used for the purpose of transporting the defacto complainant after kidnapping. Both implicate the petitioner.

Under such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. CRM (A) 4938 of 2023 is disposed of.
