And In Re : Shreekanta Rabidas @ Shrikanta Rabidas ...... petitioner Mr. Pinaki Dhole Mr. Debjit Bhattacharya Mr. Sushant Rabidas ....for the petitioner Mr. Swapan Banerjee Ms. Pyurnima Ghosh ....for the State The police filed charge-sheet in the year 2020. The petitioner approached the Jurisdictional Court for anticipatory bail in April, 2020 and the same was rejected. Thereafter, the petitioner did not take any steps. Considering the long absconsion of the petitioner in respect of a police case of February 27, 2020, the materials in the case diary and the gravity of the offence, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 5547 of 2022 is dismissed.
