Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner prays for bail on the grounds of the petitioner being detained in custody for two years one month. It has been submitted that only 6 witnesses have been examined out of the proposed 21 witnesses and there is no possibility of the trial concluding in near future. Other accused persons have been granted bail as has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner. Learned advocate for the State on the other hand opposes the prayer for bail and draws the attention to the injury report as well as the post-mortem report. Learned advocate further submits that 8 witnesses have been examined out of the proposed 21 witnesses.

In view of the stage of the case, I direct the learned trial Court to conclude at least 10 more witnesses by 15th of May, 2026.

At this stage the prayer for bail of the petitioner being CRM (M) 2389 of 2025 is rejected.

No unnecessary adjournment be granted to any of the parties and the trial of the case would proceed in spite of the resolution of the local bar.

Petitioner would renew his prayer for bail after the aforesaid period is over.

Learned advocate for the State is directed to communicate this order to the learned trial Court. Case Diary be returned to the learned advocate for the State.

All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
