Petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities as no steps were taken in spite of cognizable offence being made out. Such information was furnished with the police authorities on 22.10.2024.

State has submitted a report. Report reflects that Singur Police Station Case No.502 of 2024 dated 22.10.2024 has been registered for investigation under the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code.

In view of the purpose for which the writ petition has been preferred is sub-served, I am of the view that further pendency of the writ petition is

unwarranted. The investigating agency will take effective steps and take the investigation of the case to its logical conclusion.

Accordingly, WPA 26480 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
