Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits he is in custody for 165 days.

Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits date has been fixed for recording prosecution evidence.

We have considered the materials on record. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected on merits. Thereafter, dates have been fixed for recording prosecution evidence. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The application for bail is, thus, rejected. Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date preferably within one year from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
