Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is organizing Durga Puja at the place in question. They have get all the permissions required for the same. Yet, the private respondents are disturbing them and are trying to extort money. Police help was sought, but was denied.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that the police are keeping a close watch on the developments in the locality.

If the petitioner has requisite permissions, nobody can prevent them from conducting the puja. They have been conducting the puja for some time.

Let the respondent police authorities keep a sharp vigil at the locale and ensure that no breach of peace takes place.

If any untoward incident occurs or is apprehended by the petitioner, she shall be at liberty to intimate the Officer in Charge of the local police station about the same who shall then act in accordance with law.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
