Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 9 months 14 days and in spite of the same, there has been no progress in the case. It has been submitted that since investigation has been completed and charge-sheet submitted, petitioner may be released on bail on any stringent condition.

Learned advocate appearing for the de facto complainant opposes the prayer for bail and submits that within a close proximity of time and particularly after the day of first year of marriage anniversary, the victim had to face such consequences.

Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that progress in the case cannot

be made because of two of the accused persons/brother-inlaws absconding. In view of the fact that some of the accused persons are in custody, I direct the learned Trial Court to take steps by exhausting the process of law and thereafter commit the case to the court of sessions.

At this stage, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

The application for bail, being CRM (M) 2398 of 2025, is, thus, dismissed.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
