The petitioner is serving as an Accountant on temporary basis at Chitta Mahato Memorial College, Purulia.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that he is not being made permanent to the post since there is no sanctioned post of Accountant in the said College. The petitioner has drawn attention of this Court to a representation made in January 25, 2022 issued by the College to the Director of Public Instruction, Government of West Bengal seeking permission for filling up a vacant post of Cashier.

The petitioner submits despite such representation being made, the Director of Public Instruction has not taken any steps to fill up the said post.

Without entering into any other aspects of the matter, I dispose of the writ petition with a direction upon the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal to

consider the representation of the College appearing at page 84 of the writ petition in accordance with law preferably within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 25415 of 2023 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
