1. The missing of the minor has resulted this petition being filed by the mother alleging that the police authorities did not take adequate steps to investigate and recover the minor.

2. The learned Counsel representing the State has filed a report of the Inspector-inCharge, Burdwan P.S. The report states that on the basis of the written complaint dated 27th September, 2023 investigation was carried out and the missing girl was ultimately recovered on 3rd November, 2023 and was handed over to CWC, Purba Bardhaman on 3rd November, 2023 for her safe custody. On 4th November, 2023 she was produced before FSM, BMC, Burdwan.

The learned Magistrate has also recorded

the statement of the minor under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C.

3. In view of the fact that the child has been recovered and is handed over to the CWC, Purba Bardhaman, the petitioner would be at liberty to approach the CWC.

4. The report filed by the Inspector-in-Charge, Burdwan P.S. is taken on record.

5. A copy of the report filed on behalf of the State without annexures is handed over in Court today to the learned Advocate representing the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of.

7. However, there shall be no order as to costs.

8. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
