In the present application the petitioner herein contended that he filed a Naraji petition on 23.08.2022 but since then it is pending for hearing before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Uluberia, Howrah, and the next date is fixed on 30th November, 2024. He therefore prays for a direction upon the court below for expeditions disposal of Naraji Petition dated 23rd August, 2022.

Since the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner is innocuous and if the present application is disposed of in terms of the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner, Private opposite party or the State will have no cause to prejudice, the matter is taken for hearing.

Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the petitioner and upon hearing learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the State, I am of the

considered view that the prayer is justified and is required to be allowed for the ends of justice.

In such view of the matter, CRR 4332 of 2022 is hereby disposed of with a direction upon the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Uluberia, Howrah, to dispose of the said application on the date fixed i.e., on 30th November, 2024, if it has not been disposed of in the meantime. For some reason or other if it could not be disposed of on that day, the Court below will make every endeavour to get it disposed of within a period of fortnight thereafter without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, since the application is pending for disposal for last two years.
