Mr. Samanta learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State submits a report which reflects that the 'Zero' FIR which was sent to Matia Police Station has been renumbered as Matia Police Station Case No. 428/2024 dated 29.11.2024 under section 420/406 of the Indian Penal Code. The police authorities have sent notices to the accused as well as the complainant. Statement of the witnesses have been recorded.

Having considered that the case has already been registered and the investigation is in progress, I am of the view that further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted.

However, the police authorities are directed to take the investigation of the case to its logical conclusion.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 26560 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report (without enclosures) be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
