Learned advocate for the State submits that the investigation of the case is still in progress and the subjectmatter of the case relates to recovery of 1539 gm of brown sugar.

Having considered the stage of the case, I am of the opinion that this is not a fit case to release the petitioner on bail as the petitioner has failed to overcome the rigours of Section 37 of the NDPS Act.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

However, the petitioner would be at liberty to approach this court at a subsequent stage after the investigation is over.

Accordingly, CRM(NDPS) 1469 of 2025 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
