1. By this application, the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of Motor Accident Claim Case No.42 of 2024 along with an application under Order 6 Rule 17 of the Code of Civil procedure, which are pending before the learned Additional District Judge, 3rd Court at Howrah.

2. Considering the submissions, this Court is of the view that the prayer of the petitioner is innocuous. Neither party stands to lose if a proceeding is disposed of expeditiously. In fact, such expeditious disposal shall enure to the benefit of the parties.

3. Under such circumstances, the revisional application is disposed of with a direction upon the learned court to dispose of the pending application as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the next date fixed. Thereafter, the learned court is requested to make a sincere endeavour to dispose of the MACC case expeditiously, taking note of the fact that the petitioner is an unfortunate mother of a victim of an accident.

4. This court has neither expressed any opinion on the merits of the application, or on the merits of the MACC

case. The learned court shall proceed independently and in accordance with law.

5. The revisional application is accordingly disposed of.

6. There shall be no order as to costs.
