Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioner is for expeditious disposal of GR Case No.639 of 2016 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Bidhannagar, North 24 Parganas, the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite party.

The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. This Court is informed that charges were framed on 17th May, 2017 and out of six charge sheeted witnesses three witnesses have been examined.

Considering the age of the case, the learned Trial Court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion within six months from the next date of hearing fixed before him, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

The revisional application being CRR 4699 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
