1. Although the petitioners are not represented, however, considering the submissions made by Mr. Nayak, the learned advocate representing the cooperative election commissioner that the process for conducting the election of the Board has been initiated vide notice dated 9th July, 2025 issued by the assistant returning officer and an election schedule has already been published, I am of the view that at this stage no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending. Considering the prayer made in the petition for appointment of Special Officer for holding election, I am of the view that it shall be prudent at this stage to direct the cooperative election commissioner to conclude the election process in terms of the election

schedule. All concerned authorities including the Superintendent of police, Uttar Dinajpur is directed to provide assistance to the returning officer for concluding the election process in a peaceful manner.

2. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
