This is an application wherein petitioner has prayed for expeditious disposal of Matrimonial Suit No. 561 of 2024 presently pending before learned Additional District Judge, 3rd Fast Track Court at Barrackpore.

Petitioner's contention is that in the month of September, a reconciliation proceeding between the parties failed, but the Court below had fixed the date for framing up issue on 7th March, 2025. He accordingly prayed for a direction upon the court below for expeditious disposal of the suit. Since the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner is innocuous and if any order is passed in terms of the prayer made by the petitioner in the application, the opposite party/defendant will have no cause to prejudice, the service of copy of application along with notice upon the opposite party is dispensed with.

Having heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and that the prayer made by

the petitioner is justified, C.O. 3838 of 2024 is hereby disposed of with a direction upon the court below to frame issue on the next date of hearing i.e. on 7th March, 2025 or within a period of two weeks thereafter. The court below is further directed to make every endeavour for expeditious disposal of the suit and to conclude the entire proceeding of the matrimonial suit preferably within a period of six months from the date of framing issue.

Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, duly applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
