In response to the vacancy notification dated October 1, 2024 declaring one vacancy for stage carriage in the route from Kolkata to Bargarh via Jamsola, Baripada, Karanjia, Keonjhar, the petitioner applied on October 12, 2024.

He has submitted the requisite statutory fee along with his online application as above.

He has however, agreed that his application has not yet been considered by the respondent no.2/The State Transport Authority, West Bengal.

Mr. Pantu Deb Roy, learned Additional Government Pleader is representing the State.

Considering the facts and circumstances, let this writ petition be disposed of with the direction that the State Transport Authority, West Bengal shall consider petitioner's application for grant of permit dated October 12, 2024 in its next Board Meeting, along with other similar applications, if any. 6.

The petitioner shall be given an opportunity of hearing.

The Board's decision shall be communicated to the petitioner within one week from the date of resolution.

Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents including the private respondents. 9.

This writ petition being WPA No. 26585 of 2024 is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.

10. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
