The report has been prepared by the concerned officer of Haridevpur P.S. The present case being Haridevpur P.S. 619 of 2020 dated December 22, 2022 was registered for investigation under sections 114/427/447/511/506/341 of the IPC.

During pendency of the proceedings, the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement and the complainant do not intend to proceed with the case.

Having considered the nature of the allegations and the dispute between the parties as also the gravity of the offence, I am of the view that as the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement, the chances of conviction are bleak

and the continuance of the proceedings may result in harassment.

Accordingly, all further proceedings arising out of Haridevpur P.S. Case No. 619 of 2020 dt. 22.12.2020 including the charge sheet submitted therein and pending before the ld. ACJM, Alipore, South 24 Paraganas is hereby quashed.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 4346 of 2023 is allowed.

Pending application, if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order, duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.

Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties, subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
