1. The grievance of the petitioners is that the petitioners' application under Section 14 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 has been kept pending inordinately by the concerned District Magistrate, that is, the respondent no. 2.

2. Despite service, none appears for the private respondents, although the respondent-authorities and the petitioners are represented through counsel.

3. Affidavit of service filed today be kept on record.

4. Learned counsel for the State submits that the District Magistrate has concluded hearing of the application and shall pass the order at the earliest.

5. Keeping in view the above submissions, W.P.A. No.25513 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 2, that is, the District Magistrate, Paschim Medinipur, to dispose of the application of the petitioners under Section 14 of the 2002 Act within a week from date.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
