1. Heard the learned advocates for the parties.

2. Petitioners had deposited 50% against the bill raised for unmetered consumption to the tune of Rs. 4,65,366/- without prejudice to his rights and contentions.

3. In view of the aforesaid fact and bearing in mind the nature of allegations, we are of the opinion that custodial interrogation of the petitioners may not be necessary and they may be granted anticipatory bail.

4. Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioners shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 2,000/- each with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under section 482(2) of BNSS 2023.

5. Petitioners shall appear before the jurisdictional court and pray for regular bail within four weeks from date.
