Petitioner renews the prayer for bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for three years nine months. Out of fourteen prosecution witnesses, nine were examined. Four of the prosecution witnesses turned hostile.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the contents of the earlier order of rejection dated December 20, 2023 passed in C.R.M (DB) 4559 of 2023.

Petitioner stands implicated in murder. Coordinate Bench considered the deposition of P.W.2 at the trial who stated that he saw the petitioner

and the victim prior to his death together. Coordinate Bench also noted that on the leading statement of the petitioner, footwear of the deceased was recovered.

Trial is in progress. Out of fifteen prosecution witnesses, nine were examined at the trial.

Considering such conspectus, desirability of enlarging the petitioner on bail at this stage is not felt.

In such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. 9.

C.R.M.(DB) No. 3704 of 2024 is dismissed.
