Halder, Mr. Indranil Halder .... for the petitioner Dr. Madhusudan Saha Roy .... for the CESC Limited Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of a new service connection having not been given to the petitioner by the CESC Limited, the writ petition has been filed.

Learned counsel for the CESC Limited submits that, as stated in the affidavit-in-opposition, the petitioner's son had enjoyed a service connection, which had to be disconnected due to non-payment of electricity dues.

As such, upon hearing learned counsel for the parties, it transpires that the CESC Limited is justified in refusing to give a new service connection to the petitioner in view of such outstanding dues of the petitioner's son.

Hence, WPA No. 23927 of 2019 is dismissed on contest without any order as to costs.

In view of the dismissal of the writ petition, as above, IA No: CAN 1 of 2020 is disposed of accordingly.
