Heard learned Advocates for both the parties. 2.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner had absconded while in transit from court to correctional home. Recording of evidence is about to commence. In view of the daring conduct of the petitioner, we are of the opinion in the event he is released on bail, he shall abscond. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.

Trial court is directed to examine witnesses at short intervals and conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible preferably within one year from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
