The father of the petitioners was an Assistant Teacher of Kumarchak High School, Amta, Howrah and after his death his widow received the family pension till her death.

The father or mother of the petitioners did not get the benefit of ROPA-2019. The petitioners are praying arrear pension and gratuity in terms of ROPA Rules 2019.

Mr. Aswini Kumar Bera, learned advocate for the State submits that during the pendency of the writ petition, the revised Pension Payment Order has been issued in favour of the petitioners. In view of such development, no further order(s) need to be passed in the matter. The concerned authority is directed to release the arrear pension as expeditiously as possible.

The photocopy of the letter dated April 07, 2023 address to the Treasury Officer, Uluberia, written by the O.S.D Pension, Provident Fund &

Group Insurance Government of West Bengal filed by Mr. Bera, be kept with the record.

W.P.A. 26359 of 2022 stands disposed of without any order as to costs.
