The Inspector-in-Charge, Chanchal Police Station, Malda has filed report dated 14th February, 2023 and the same is taken on record. The Investigating Officer is present in Court.

It appears from the report that the investigation has substantially progressed. The circumstances leading to the incident have been enumerated in the report. It is ordered that the investigation be completed as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three weeks from date. The Director, RFSL Jalpaiguri shall furnish a report on the viscera sent to him in connection with the instant case being Chanchal Police Station Case No.1073 of 2022 within a week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order mandatorily and positively.

The petitioner complains that the private respondent No.6 is threatening her.

Chanchal Police Station, Malda shall assess the threat perception and take appropriate steps in that regard.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
