REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 4973 of 2023 In Re:- In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Sankrail Police Station Case No. 561 of 2023 dated 24.07.2023 under Section 498A/325/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code along with under Section 3 & 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

And In Re : Hafijul Laskar ...... petitioner Mr. Nonigopal Chakraborty ...for the petitioner Mr. Pravas Bhattacharya Mr. M.F. A. Begg ...for the State A submission was made on behalf of the petitioner on January 10, 2024 that the matrimonial disputes stood resolved. In view of such submission, we permitted the defactocomplainant to record a statement under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C.

The defacto-complainant recorded such statement. There she recorded the assault made by the petitioner on her. Petitioner attempted to mislead the Court.

In such circumstances, police will take the petitioner into custody for interrogation immediately and the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

The application being CRM (A) 4973 of 2023 is dismissed.
