Matter is heard in presence of the learned advocates representing the parties.

Matter relates to selection of Officer-in-Charge of a polyclinic under Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS).

It is contended by the learned advocate representing the petitioner that petitioner participated in the selection process for being appointed as Officer-InCharge of a Polyclinic under ECHS but he was not selected whereas similarly circumstanced other candidates were selected. Petitioner prays for necessary direction upon the concerned respondent authorities for selecting and appointing him as Officer-In-Charge of Polyclinic under ECHS.

Learned advocate representing the respondent authorities has submitted that inadvertently incorrect submission was made on last occasion to the extent that since petitioner crossed 65 years of
age at the time of holding selection process, he was adjudged ineligible. However, today on instruction, it is submitted that though petitioner was within the prescribed age group but in the selection process petitioner was not found suitable by the appointing authority as a result whereof name of the petitioner did not feature in the list of selected candidates. 5.
In view of aforesaid scenario and no illegality being demonstrated on behalf of the petitioner which vitiates the selection process, Court is not inclined to interfere with the selection process for filling up the post of Officer-In-Charge of a Polyclinic under ECHS. 6.
Hence, writ petition stands dismissed.

However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to make application before the concerned respondent authorities seeking relevant information relating to the said selection process.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
