Petitioner was aggrieved that his complaint dated 16.10.2024 addressed to the Superintendent of Police with copy being forwarded to the Officer-inCharge, Samsherganj Police Station was not acted upon.

Mr. Sengupta, learned advocate appearing for the State has submitted a report. Report reflects that on the basis of the complaint so sent by the petitioner, Samsherganj Police Station Case No.766 of 2024 dated 12.11.2024 has been registered for investigation.

In view of the FIR having been registered and the police authorities being in seisin of the case, I

am of the view that the purpose for which the petitioner has approached this Court has been subserved. The police authorities will take the investigation of the case to its logical conclusion. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 26693 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted by the State be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
