Petitioner submits he is in custody for two years. Report on behalf of the prosecution shows dates has been fixed for recording prosecution evidence.
There are ample materials implicating the petitioner in the possession of narcotic substances.
Under such circumstances and in view of the statutory restrictions under section 37 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date.
