Copies of letters allegedly sent by the petitioner to the private respondents filed on behalf of the private respondents is also taken on record.

Copy of the same is handed over to the learned counsel on behalf of the petitioner.

No one appears on behalf of the State.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the mother-in-law of the respondent no.6. At present, she is staying separately from the said respondent. However, for some time now the private respondents had been harassing, intimidating and annoying the petitioner. She had been threatened over telephone. The petitioner lodged complaints before the police authorities, but no FIR was registered. She seeks police protection and registration of an FIR on her complaints. Learned counsel appearing on behalf the private respondents submits as follows. For quite sometime the

petitioner and the private respondent no.6 are staying separately. A divorce suit is pending between the private respondent no.6 and her husband. In spite of this the petitioner had been sending annoying and defamatory letters to the private respondent no.6 all these long. She has falsely alleged that she was subjected to some kind of torture by the private respondents.

It does not appear from the complaints that a cognizable offence is made out so as to register an FIR. Therefore, no further need be passed in this regard. However, the police authorities shall keep a sharp vigil at the locale and ensure that no breach of peace takes place.

With these observations, WPA 25630 of 2023 is disposed of.

Since the Court did not invite the parties to file affidavits, the allegations made are deemed not to have been admitted.
