Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner entered into an agreement with the respondent no.5 for obtaining tenancy in a premises and using it for commercial purpose. Initially, the tenancy was for one year. Thereafter, it was extended for two more years. However, the respondent no.5 thereafter thought of taking over the petitioner's business. Accordingly, he broke open the padlock of the premises. Several complaints were lodged with the local police but no steps were taken. Incidentally, the electricity authorities had started a case for alleged improper use of connection.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the private respondents submits as follows. The petitioner defaulted in making payment of rent and misused the electricity

connection at the premises. This prompted the petitioner to give a notice of termination of tenancy. In retaliation the criminal case was started by the petitioner. Appropriate steps have been taken by the private respondents in respect of such case.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the report and submits that police have already acted on the complaints filed by the petitioner. A specific case being Garfa PS Case No.189 dated 21.8.2023 under Sections 341, 406, 427, 120B of the IPC was registered and is being investigated. The police are keeping a close watch on the developments in the locality.

It appears that the prime grievance of the petitioner of not taking steps on her complaint has already been redressed and specific FIR has been registered and is being investigated.

It also appears that the private respondents are pursuing appropriate relief for terminating the tenancy in question.

Therefore, no further order need be passed.

However, the police authorities shall keep a sharp vigil at the locale and ensure that no breach of peace takes place. With these observations, WPA 25640 of 2023 is disposed of.
